Yeah not used to the spot mate and have always found it hard to go fast at Weymouth. The 5.7m felt alright for the one run i got on it and the the 6.4m was perfect after i had some lunch. Thanks for the advice though mate and hopefully i will see you at Speedweek

Well done on the PB mate, to get 40 do lots more runs each session ;-) I made the mistake when I got over 35 of getting over excited and faffing around when I should have been doing more runs.

Your 5.7 was far too small for portland that day. You should have used a 7m. Its always gusty there due to the vehicles on the road and chesil beach. It is a tricky spot as you bear off into death chop. I had lots of 32's on monday morning, but could only stay out for 20mins or so, still got about 10 runs in, all over 30 on both tacks but felt rough afterwards as still not recovered. It has taken me 6-8months to learn the odd nature of the harbour here for speed sailing.

I have been using a Lorch Division S 83 as i was sponsored by Lorch.

As i became a team rider for a shop in Ireland called wind and wave i was able to get a deal on some Starboards so i have a I Sonic 86 as my light wind speed board and got the I Sonic W49 Speed Special and I Sonic W44 Speed Special to try and break 40 knots with.

I will also be using the I Sonic 144 and 111 for slalom
